We’re happy to show you a recent commercial project we completed with Local Public Eatery and commercial real-estate company Low Tide Properties! A sister brand to Joey Restaurants, which is a fast-growing casual-dining concept moving across the country, Local Public Eatery has seven units in Canada and offers a more laid-back feel to its full-service counterpart: guests seat themselves, there’s a revolving list of craft brews on tap, and there’s upscale pub-grub.
Located inside a heritage building that is on the Vancouver Heritage Register, Local’s new pub/restaurant in Gastown features a patio (one of the city’s prime spots come summertime) and an interior dining area, with funky neon signs, exposed steel pipes and mismatched furniture. The entire structure consists of exterior brick and mortar walls with a combination of concrete blocks and solid granite blocks supporting the framing.
Klondike’s services for our clients included pre-construction services (estimating, procurement, scheduling and value engineering) and construction services that encompass a new sprinkler system, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building automation, mechanical, glazing and drywall.
We love the ‘living room’ vibe in this pub/restaurant and it is growing more popular by the day with their clientele enjoying Local’s relaxed atmosphere, drink specials, classic pub fare and fresh share plates.
