Klondike is proud to showcase another recent commercial project – the first Nestle Toll House Café (nestlecafe.com) in Vancouver. As the first of its kind in Western Canada, lovers of desserts and pastries can indulge their sweet tooth here amidst an array of brownies, decadent ice creams, gourmet cookies and cakes. Nestle is known for serving up freshly baked cookies, premium coffees as well as savoury items and was recently in the news stating that they intend to source only eggs from cage-free hens for all its food products globally by 2025.

Working in Design Build collaboration with IBI Group (www.ibigroup.com), this bakery and cafe project involved both architectural and design services, which encompassed renovating an existing shell space, constructing new interior partitions, new interior finishes and installing mechanical services, electrical services and specific kitchen equipment.

The scope of work for transforming the original space into this dessert café was extensive – painting, transformer, flooring, tilling, installing feature wall frames and slates, electrical work, plumbing fixtures, installing fire-suppression sprinklers as well as bringing in brand new doors, equipment and a walk-in freezer.

We were delighted to work for one of the world’s most recognised food brands and introducing its delicious confectionary to all Vancouverites!
