Klondike Contracting recently completed a project for an organic seed distributor, which entailed the transformation of a 12,000 SF barn in Delta into the new home of West Coast Seeds. As a certified Organic Handler, their new processing facility had to meet very exacting standards and we were more than up to the task! With our familiarity with the City of Delta, a working relationship with architecture firm Brian G. Hart & Company, an excellent roster of trades and a willingness to be creative, we undertook our very first agricultural project, styled like an Okanagan winery .

Covering two floors, the West Coast Seeds barn consists of a warehouse, seed production facility, storage room and office. Major work of the space included plumbing, painting, earthwork, demolition, drywall and much more.

It is here that their employees store and distribute all types of organic seeds and promote education of organic and nutritional food. The property will grow to include greenhouses, demonstration gardens and a green space for outdoor events.

Our client’s goal was to have a fully functional and efficient operating space for their business as well as create a place where agricultural education of the public could be facilitated. We’re delighted to participate in the growth of West Coast Seeds!
